Introduction:The School has two libraries with different collections to meet our students' needs.
Junior Library (1st floor)Targeted to serve Junior form and CSL (Chinese as a Second Language) students.
Main Library (7th floor)Targeted to service all the school members.
The library is not solely for the purpose of keeping books. It aims to enhance the self-learning ability of students. Presently, there are over 20,000 items in our collection. They cover many subject areas, and can be borrowed by students. The Library also subscribes to a wide range of magazines and newspapers. Owing to the nature of these items, they can only be read within the library and are not for borrowing.
Automation and computerization is one of our goals. Recently, more computers, iMacs and ebooks have been installed in the library. Students can access the library website anytime to view the library news, their personal loan record and renew items on loan. In order to make our services known to more students, the Library has recruited a number of students who serve as Library Prefects. They are trained to organize different library activities like book exhibitions, seminars and workshops; circulation duty with training of library management systems; collection maintenance like shelving and physical decoration of the Library. Students can recommend their favorite books to the Librarian via "RECOMMENDATION". |
